The crystal's knowledge changed everything. Dr. Lena Martinez stood in the command center of New Atlantis, watching the holographic display. The void was coming-a darkness that consumed stars, planets, entire civilizations.

"We need a fleet," she said.

Ambassador Kaelen nodded. "We have been building one. In secret."

The ocean floor trembled. Ships rose from the sand-dozens of them, sleek and powerful, their hulls gleaming.

"The First Ones left them for us," Kaelen said.

Lena climbed into the command ship, her hands on the controls.

"Let's go," she said.

The fleet rose from the ocean, breaking the surface, shooting toward the stars.

The void was waiting-a massive tear in space, pulsing with darkness.

"We need to seal it," Lena said.

"The artifact can do it," Kaelen replied. "But it requires a sacrifice."

Lena looked at her hands, still glowing faintly.

"I'll do it," she said.

"No," a voice said. Commander Reyes stepped forward. "I will."

Lena hesitated. "Reyes-"

"You have a family. I don't."

He took the artifact and flew toward the void.

The darkness swallowed him, then flared, then collapsed.

The void was sealed.

Reyes was gone.

Lena stared at the empty space, tears streaming down her face.

"Command, the void is sealed."

"Copy, New Atlantis. Good work. Come home."

She turned the ship toward Earth, the fleet following.

"We will remember him," Kaelen said.

Lena nodded. "Always."

She touched the photograph of her family, tucked into her flight suit.

"I'm coming home," she whispered.

The stars watched in silence.

The void was gone.

But its memory remained.

And Lena Martinez would never forget.

She would fight on. For Reyes. For Earth. For the future.

The ocean welcomed her home.

And she wept.
